Foreman for restaurants

Your host is seating a four-top. The phone still gets answered.

Friday, 7:30. Line out the door. The phone is ringing and nobody can pick it up.Foreman answers every call and text in under a minute, books the table into your book, confirms it, and sends takeout callers to your own ordering link. Your host keeps seating guests.

Sound familiar?

If you run a restaurant, you know these.

  1. The phone rings through the entire rush and the host is not going to leave a party at the stand to answer it.

  2. You cannot afford someone just to answer phones, and you cannot afford to miss the calls either.

  3. You book a full house and then 3 or 4 tables never show, or cancel at 5 PM, and the seats go empty.

  4. The delivery apps and the POS take a cut of every order, so a phone order that goes direct is worth more than it looks.

  5. Guests ask the same things over and over: hours, parking, the menu, a table for 8, is there a deposit.

The math

Calls you miss on a busy week, in covers.

Change these to your own numbers. This is arithmetic, not a promise of results.

Industry figure: one call-handling vendor reports 33% of calls missed at peak and about $134 per reservation call ($42 a guest, 3.2 guests). Vendor data from 1.2M calls, published December 2025. Your own phone log is better.

Your numbers

That is about $3,310 a month of tables you did not seat.

Calls a week x 52 / 12 x value x share. Defaults are industry figures you can overwrite.

Your objections

What restaurant owners ask first.

Will it sound like a robot on the phone?

Most guests reach Foreman by text, and a missed call gets a text back in under a minute, in your voice. You write the greeting. You can read a real thread on this page first.

What about a complicated order or an allergy?

It answers only from the menu, hours and policies you approved. Allergies, large parties and anything it is unsure about go straight to your manager by text, and it tells the guest that is happening.

What if it gets a price or a menu item wrong?

It does not invent. If it is not in what you approved, it says the manager will text them and tells you.

Does it replace my host?

No. It takes the phone off your host so they keep seating the room.

Does it speak Spanish?

Yes. It replies in the language the guest writes in, in your voice, and the reservation lands in your book either way.

Works with what you run

Foreman sits in front of your systems. It does not replace them.

The Monday text

Six lines a week. That is the whole report.

Questions

Straight answers.

Does it work with OpenTable, Resy and Toast?

Yes. OpenTable, Resy, Toast, SevenRooms, Square, Clover and Lightspeed are live connections. Reservations are written to your book and texted to the host.

Can it take deposits for large parties?

Yes. Parties above the size you set get a deposit link with the booking, so the table is held for real.

Can it send takeout callers to my own ordering link?

Yes. It texts your own ordering page, so the order is prepaid and the margin stays with you.

Who owns my guest list?

You do. Your data, customer list and creative are yours and are exported on exit.

Is there a contract?

No. Per location per month, cancel with 30 days notice.
